In modern lives, a lot of us have a rapid wrap-it-up results mentality,
bottom line it for me,
“cut to the chase” (scene): always the chased, the chaser, and the chasing.
We conjugate the understanding of our experience in w’s:
words with who what where when how which we hope are clues to the why
and so far that has not led to anything convincing, sustainable, certain, or satisfying.
The who, what, where, when, & how never actually add up to or lead us to a solid why
only another guess at the unknowable
that we comfort ourselves with
we know every knowing of the mind
is limited and necessarily temporary.
If we are truly growing
what is less transitory
omnipresent actually
in every experience
is what we intended
if we were awake to our intentions
enough to make a more aware choice
in the direction of what is the constant
in all of our hearts
our yearning
to love and be loved.
