I know how busy you are, so I’ll get to the point and say this flat out:

                  Being human is nothing to be ashamed of.

however . . .

. . . pretending not to be . . .

           . . . wishing not to be . . .

                 . . . even trying really hard not to be . . .

. . . so much so that we are hiding ourselves from one another . . . well,

Now . . .

Those are the types of choices that lead us into feeling a bit insincere . . . maybe even—justifiably, of course—disingenuous . . . OK, OK . . . we’re being dishonest . . . almost everywhere we take a look . . . we’re fudging our truth a lot . . .

. . . to ourselves . . .

. . . and to each other . . . even and especially to the ones we claim to love. We hide.

It’s practically automatic . . .

We are so busy being busy . . .

we sincerely pray

that no one finds us out.

Yet, in our hearts, we are beginning to realize . . . that busyness 

often leads to emptiness.
