When you close your eyes to the light
the light doesn’t go away
or take offense.

Light doesn’t know how to do that.
It waits.

And while it waits and your eyes remain shut,
the light plays upon your eyelids.

While we can sense this even with eyes shut,
we cannot truly “see” anything.

Light also has warmth
whereas…
well, we all know what the dark feels like.

So… let’s open our eyes… shall we?
