I don’t think we need to be noticed
in order to be nice.
I don’t think we need to be thanked
in order to be considerate.
I don’t think we need to be asked
in order to offer or to actually be helpful.
I don’t think we need to be rewarded
in order to behave decently.
Now, I normally don’t put much faith in thinking,
and I recognize all the thinking going on in the above statements . . .
But sometimes thinking people need some things to think about . . .
I may just be me.
And that’s OK.
I know how I’ve chosen to live.
