I’ve been sneaking up on my spirit

         for most of my life

I know that now . . .                               I’m also quite aware

that my spirit has seen me coming all the while . . .

. . . patiently has my spirit been welcoming me. . .

. . .having been invited to step out from around the corner from itself,

you gotta know my spirit feels eager, anxious . . . and very small . . .

do I dare?

         do I trust?

                   do I try?

will I try again if and as . . . again and again . . . intend and try to open up and remain open to the goodness and love within?

Stop playing small ball.

My spirit and heart say go . . . my body isn’t sure . . . my mind deeply undecided . . .

The invite remains . . . it is open-ended . . . my spirit feels this

Yours does too . . .

“soon” we sense and smile

                                                                                               and sneak ever closer
