We’re all swamped.
We’re all swimming in enough discontentments to have formed, brewed, and steeped ourselves into; tea spilt into our Harbor.
The bottle neck of Baltimore was brought into the water.
The bridge, the Francis Scott Keys,
was brought to her knees
by a cargo shift with a rudder stuck?
mechanical failure? crew slip up?
And the wall was
a self-contained container struck
like a loaded planer into the abutment
and one of the main supports was
plowed through
all preventative guardrails did not prevail
and the Black Swan event
for the Harbor was sent
to crash in and remind US
the fight for freedom, liberty, accountability, and responsibility
is all of ours together.
We are freedom’s defenders
not the ones demanding you surrender
your loyalties and royalties to them.
